Sunday Go to Meeting: I dont think there was a better vocal group in the history of gospel than the early 50s lineup of the Spirit of Memphis Quartet (at this point up to seven singers), that recorded for King. This was from their last King session in 1952. Some quartets had great rhythm drive, some great a capella harmony, some a great lead singer. A this point Spirit of Memphis had it all.
