Sunday January 26th: ¿Hablas Español? It will help, if you do, as we delve into the riches of South American Cabs, along with some classic whites from Argentina and rosados from Spain. With so many good choices, well have to break the tasting up over two days. Today, Diseño opens with a crisp Torrontes, then the Monte Castrillo rosado hints at the power of Spanish Ribera del Duero wines. Pérez Cruz (our only Chilean entry this weekend) brings their Reserva Cab to dazzle, while the Zolo Reserve Cab from Argentina is a proven winner. Tuesday January 28th: Part 2 of our South American adventure continues, despite the cold, as we open with the Catena winerys high altitude Chardonnay, then jump over to Spain for the delicious Muga Rioja rosé. Our Cabernet conquest continues with a pair of champs from Argentina: the Aranwa Reserve Cab, and Riglos Gran Cabernet. Well warm you to the core with some delicious wines tonight.
