To everyone, I received the Josey Award on February, 12, 1982. I am very proud of that accomplishment because it was a show of support of the Huntsville Boy Scout Community of the time. I am most supportive of those years, because people like Mr. Tampe, Fred Pappy Ricks, Forrest Leeper, Charles Matchett, and many other Great Men that ferried us around to Jamborees, Scout Camps and most precious Philmont! I remember the date so well because that morning Huntsville woke to a very sad site, the Smoke Plum over Huntsville that ended the site of Old Main. I left the banquet and went and sat sadly at our loss.
