Sunday March 23, 2014 4pm Newark Academy Sky Blue FC will be playing Penn State’s women’s soccer team at Newark Academy. Sky Blue FC is New Jersey’s professional women’s team. They recently took Newark Academy graduate Maya Hayes in their entry draft and she will be playing for them against her college team, Penn State. The Nittany Lions are annually one of the top teams in the nation and this season advanced to the second round of the NCAA tournament. While this scrimmage is meant to be low key, the school wants the members of our girls soccer teams to have the opportunity to see this high caliber game up close.
