Sunday Service I Am Getting It Back by Pastor Iyke Samuels Bible Text: 2 Kings 8:1, 1 Kings 17:10-16, Isaiah 42:16, Isaiah 45;2 I discovered that decision is everything in life. If you see a poor man, its because of the decisions he made in the past. Its impossible not to make decisions, indecision is also making decisions. Most of us in making decisions base it on emotional rather than rational reasons. Most people marry for emotional rather than rational reasons. The decision of who to marry can make or mar you. When you base the choice of marriage on emotional reasons, you can destroy yourself. Dont marry out of sympathy. When your decision is sane and rational, you will experience peace in your marriage. Let me address those of us in business; ensure satisfaction to your clients or consumers. Dont think you have done enough, theres always extra to be done. If you dont pay attention to the extra, you will remain ordinary in life. The worst thing that can happen to you is for your client to get satisfaction of the same product elsewhere. Insisting on quality is a must; constantly insisting on quality is a must. No matter what people say about people not buying quality; stay on quality; never compromise quality. Testimonials also increase desirability and reduce people resisting your prices. Perception is important. How people see you will determine if they can do business with you. Do you have character, credibility and competence? These days, you buy something and the price is forged. Its becoming a norm in the world of today. A reputation of being excellent at what you do will promote you. You must be known for excellence, you must stand out from the crowd. You cant afford to be ordinary in the world of today. Past experiences influence your decision making. If you have been jilted and defrauded by men in the past, you would think all men are the same. Learn to let go what is in the past, dont allow your past affect your today. Being biased affect your decisions negatively. Cognitive biases influence people by causing them to rely on what they observe. Never negotiate when you are desperate or depressed. The moment people realise you are desperate, they reduce your worth. Never make a decision on an empty stomach. Nothing good comes out of desperation. You have to deal with desperation before you make a good decision. Desperation reduces your worth. There are 2 things you must never do; 1.Never allow your situation control your decision 2. Never allow your situation stop you from making a decision The power of insight can make it impossible for you to constantly experience recession in your life. Insight makes you well prepared and also avert the situation. Another factor of decision making is consultation. If you want to make a decision with little errors, you have to consult others. Read books of people that are authorities in your field and let them teach you how its done. Anyone who has gone through what you are going through will teach you how to go through it. God is in our past, present and future and if we have to consult anyone, we need to consult someone who knows our history. God knows our history. God is not only experienced, He holds our future at the palm of His hands. Dont ever forget that God is involved! If God has not told you what to do, dont do what you think. Consultants only have past experience but God made tomorrow, this is important to me because whatever you will become is traceable to your decision. Its my prayer that God will influence your decisions in Jesus name. Shalom!
