Sunday, Sunday… A little nervous leading an ENTIRE service at the Full Gospel Assembly in Brooklyn! BUT, had a great time… Whilst leading worship I sung in the HS., which is something I’ve never done before whilst leading, and whilst I was nervous, why stop with the back-up singers and instrumentalists I had? Haha! AWESOME! After a BIG woopsy-daisies in Chicago, with a youth leader yanking me from the service on account of Lorenzy’s Shakira Hips, I made a disclaimer with the Full Gospel, explaining to people about why we do what we do (the production and all). I was REALLY nervous because women aren’t allowed on stage with a skirt on, and well… If that was the extent of their concern, I was terrified we might offend, and people might up and leave. Did they leave? HECK NO! Full Gospel is FULL of people from the Carribean (I’m staying with a lady from Barbados, and our youths are staying with people from Jamaica – though there are people from everywhere… St. Lucia, Guyana, Honduras, Costa Rica, etc. The Church is predominantly black, and they move like an African American congregation, though everyone speaks with a British Accent…) and Central America, and no they didn’t leave. We received a standing ovation at the 10 minute mark, with NOBODY retaking their seats for the entire service… haha! Awesome! Teen Challenge was present at one of the services today, and my boys FINALLY UNDERSTOOD why we give testimonies. A small black man (from Haiti) stood before our youths and gave them the hoo-haa of his life, with lots of tears and plenty of hope. The reason he lives, is to now serve Jesus (won’t bore you with the to-hell-and-back part (EXCRUCIATINGLY horrible), something that is becoming an every day occurrence for us to hear…). My computer is about to die so I’m signing off quick smart. Off to the Bronx tomorrow
