Sunday…..Sunday….Sunday……Time for “Papa’s Brag bag”!!! We will do something a little different today in the “Brag Bag” we will be telling all the “Nate Dog” fans about two days of fast and downright exciting motocross racing! Yep, that’s right fans. Two day’s, Saturday and Sunday!!! My Main Man had the opportunity to participate in the two day Freelin Frenzy event. So Saturday morning bike and gear were packed up and off to Freelin MX . Unfortunately this proud Papa was not able to be track side on Saturday but alongside My #1 Man was another highly skilled and accomplished Motocross rider and big fan, his Uncle Scott!! (Honda #119!!!), which gave us a stunning commentary that I will pass along. Simply put Our “Nate Dog” did Fantastic!!! The “Mr Nate Dog” was entered in the 85C and Super Mini classes and My #1 Man was ready to race. Again, the Motocross Mad Man pulled another HOLE SHOT!!! That’s four Hole Shots in three weeks!!!! My Main Man rode the Tornado and streaked around the track and at the checkered flag finished a 1st overall in the 85C class. Yea “Nate Dog”!!! Great racing!!!! His second class was the Super Mini, again the best of the best on the 85’s. Uncle Scott said this was the best race he has seen in a long long time!! Our “Nate Dog” pegged the throttle and didn’t let up!! Challenged the best of the best and took the checkered flag in the best position so far this year!! My #1 Man finished out the Super Mini with a 5th overall!!!!!! Ya Hoo!!! Congratulations “Nate Dog”!!!!!!! A 1st and a 5th!!!!!! Sunday at Freelin MX had it’s up’s and down’s. The day started with a great practice run, the Dog was finding his line, cruising and looking happy. “Nate Dog” was signed up for the 85C and Super Mini once again, moto number 6 and 8. When the announcer called for #6 moto it was discovered that the Orange Tornado had a flat tire. There was no time to repair it before the gates dropped… we figured the moto was a wash. But a super and special friend Cameron #101 told “Nate Dog” to hop on his other 85 and ride the moto. What a fantastic friend, thanks Cameron!! Numbers were changed and “Nate Dog” hopped atop Cameron’s Yellow Suzuki and made it to the line before the gate dropped. When the gate did drop the Dog twisted the throttle, raised the front wheel off the dirt and headed to the hole shot, and rounded the turn in 2nd place!!! Great riding “Nate Dog”!! and on a bike he has never rode before!!! This once again showed us what a skillful rider “Our Nate Dog” is!! But I guess it was just not to be. We all watched with excitement as My Main Man rounded the second and third turns, jump the first table top and prepare to go into the whoops when all of a sudden the Yellow flash shut down. My #1 man pulled off to the side but couldn’t get it started again and was not able to finish the moto. Bummer! The Yellow flash was pushed back to the parking area and fortunately repaired quickly for the Orange Tornado was still having rear tire troubles. So once again our Motocross Mad Man sat on the Yellow Flash and waited for the gate to drop on the 1st moto of the Super Mini! All of us had our fingers crossed as the starter dropped the gate My Main Man roared off the line. He made that hole shot turn in mid pack and headed for the second turn. Weaving his way into the 3rd turn and around the end bank towards the woops. Just as the Yellow flash entered the whoops once again it shut down! Our hearts stopped, and like the last moto the flash had to be pushed back to the parking area. What a stroke of bad luck, that’s two moto’s that our “Nate Dog” was not able to complete. Ahh….. but the sun finally came out, the Orange Tornado was back up and running and more than eager to get back out there and shall we say, kick some butt!!! And kick some butt it did!!! The second moto for the 85C was on the line, the Orange Tornado was at the gate spitting blue exhaust just waiting to unleash it’s pent up power. The gate dropped, Yikes! The Tornado and “Nate Dog” flew off the line and like an orange fire ball took ownership of the Hole Shot!!! That’s four Hole Shots in four days!!!! Holy Cow that’s some great riding “Nate Dog”!!!! My Main Man and the Orange Fire Ball never let up, they owned the 85C class and grabbed that waving checkered flag in 1st place!!!!! Now that was some great motocross riding!!!! “Nate Dog Rocks”!!!!!!!!! (check out the pix’s of some great riding) My Main Man didn’t have much time to field all the congratulations when the 2nd moto for the Super Mini was called and the Motocross Mad Man and his Orange Tornado once again were on the line pointed toward the hole shot. And once again the Orange Tornado was true to it’s name and came off the line in a whirl wind. But we all could see that the “Mr Nate Dog” was in charge!!! Rounding the first turn saw My #1 Man in 6th place and challenging a Yellow Suzuki into the second turn. For all four laps My Main Man challenged the leaders. Great racing “Nate Dog”!! As the checkered flag was waved and the Orange Tornado streaked across the finish line our Motocross Mad Man was in command of 5th place!! That’s 5th place against the best of the best!!! You are the Best “Nate Dog”!!!!!! At the end of the day and things all picked up the NBS Racing Team, Grammy and I decided that Our “Nate Dog”, My Main Man did pretty fantastic today. Even though, because of the first two motos, no points were awarded we were very very Proud of our “Mr Nate Dog”, the way he handled a difficult situation and your superb riding to comeback to finish 1st and 5th once again. CONGRATULATION “NATE DOG”!!!!!!!! You are one heck of a rider and one fantastic Grandson!!! Until next time, this is the very Proud Papa saying good night.
