Sunday Update on Mom: Hi all. Im sorry Im just now getting this out. Today has been extremely busy and I havent had any free time to do this until just now. Mom had a pretty good night, all things considered. She breathed much better and coughed far less. She is still on her breathing tube, but her pulmonologist was very optimistic this morning after looking at her bloodwork and chest x-ray. He said her pneumonia is lessening. Because of her breathing better, she fought things far less and slept fairly well. So did dad. Hes been in her room every night because he has been her protector and slept next to her for 38 years, and he doesnt plan to ever change that. I respect my father very much for this, and those of us which are married would probably feel much the same way. That said, it is nice to know he got some much needed sleep last night as well. There really hasnt been much change during the day today either. Mom seems to be gaining just a little bit of her alertness again, but its rather short lived. She has a little bit of a dry cough, but thats much better than the wet one she had been fighting. Thats really all I have for everyone today. I hope you had a day of rest. Im getting to rest for the rest of the evening and cant thank God enough for the opportunity. :) I will be at the hospital tomorrow morning. I can get another update out sometime prior to 9am.
