Sunday and Monday (July 14 & 15) the moon rises in Libra. Libra is best for annual flowers. Tuesday and Wednesday (July 16 & 17) the moon rises in Scorpio. The moon also enters in the second quarter. This is a time to plant for sturdy growth and vines with the seeds inside the fruit. For our Florida group, it really is too hot to plant anything but okra and southern peas, but it is time to start gathering your seeds and preparing your soil for your winter garden that begins in August! It is also time to add chemical fertilizer to your garden. It is also a great time to water as the roots will be more receptive to absorb. Thursday and Friday (July 18 & 19) we are in Sagittarius. This is a great time to prune to discourage growth. BTW, it is also a great time to get your haircut if you don’t want it to grow back quickly! It is also a wonderful time to harvest to keep your produce fresh longer. Saturday and Sunday (July 20 & 21) we are back in Capricorn. This is the time to plant for pulp or stalk growth.
