Sunday morning coming down. Very chilly air greets us as Oscar and I go out for his morning walk. No ice on the birdbath but Jack Frost has been here to scatter his icy dew not just on the pumpkins but all across the field and on top the fat hay bales. Some birds are singing frantically as if to call back summer while a cow moos plaintively for her calf or perhaps shes complaining about a breakfast of grass with ice. The sun comes up in a burst of orange but light clouds muffle its warmth. Oscar wastes no time finding his necessary spots before we head back to the house where it may be time to think heat. But maybe not yet. Cooking for Homecoming today will warm the kitchen and Im cheering for the sun to push some October warmth down. A beautiful day even with the frost. Hope you have a joyful Sunday.
