Super congratulations to Ashwin Vasavada who is now Mars Curiositys project scientist! I was very fortunate to work with Ashwin in a lot of the mission planning work I did early on Curiosity and later in our surface operations. Hes not only a great scientist, but also a pleasure to work with and extremely patient in explaining the complexities of planetary science to folks like me.
