Superintendent of District Jails Anantnag, Baramulla host Iftaar Party for Jail inmates ANANTNAG, AUGUST 03: On the initiate instruction of Director General Prisons, an Iftaar Party was arranged in District Jail Anantnag by Superintendent District Jail, wherein prisoners lodged in the Jail were provided an opportunity to have joint Iftaar Party with Jail Staff, CRPF personnel, District Administration as well as with Judiciary of District Anantnag. Jail inmates were overwhelmed on seeing the response shown by the District Administration and offered Magrib prayers jointly. Jail inmates interacted with the guests especially CJM Anantnag and Chief Prosecuting Officers Anantnag and put forth their demands mainly pertaining to early disposal of their cases. Besides others, District Magistrate Anantnag, Chief Judicial Magistrate, Chief Medical Officer, Chief Planning Officer, Block Medical Officer Mattan, Deputy Commandant CRPF 96 BN, local Auqaf members, prominent citizens, Imams and journalist from print electronic media attended the Iftaar Party. Meanwhile, the District Jail Baramulla hosted Iftaar Party for jail inmates inside the jail Baramulla. All the inmates attended the function. Deputy Commissioner, Baramulla, Mr. Khawaja Ghulam Ahmad was chief guest on the occasion. The function was also attended by officers of various departments of the district Baramulla and prominent citizens of the Baramulla besides Incharge Superintendent of Jail, Mr. G.N. Naik was present on the occasion.
