NO CARS TO BE PARKED IN PIT AREA Vehicles maybe asked to be moved at the club’s discretion No camping at the complex unless prior approval from LKC Executive Committee During tea break there will be bbq food for people to purchase plus light entertainment Open Performance Class Rules Any enquiries please contact Stuart Lee 0400 793921 The TAS Open class is conceived to be a high performance class with very basic rules and is based on the Open Performance Class. Engine Eligibility 1. Major engine components (crankshaft, crankcases, cylinder barrel and externals of cylinder head) must be derived from AKA or CIK registered engines 2. Two Stroke or Four Stroke engines 3. Single or Twin engines 4. Engines may be air or water cooled 5. Clutches and electric starters are permissible 6. Supercharging is not permitted 7. Further restrictions for specific events may be specified in the event’s supplementary regulations Tyres 1. No modifications permitted, tyre treatment is illegal (Refer Rule 23.03) 2. Dry weather tyres – MG Yellow 3. Wet weather tyres- any AKA or CIK wet tyre. 4. Bead retention compulsory on all karts with a combined (kart & weight) of above 170kg. Braking Front wheel brakes may be used and are compulsory on all karts with a combined (kart & driver) weight of above 170kg. No front brakes on Single engine karts except KZ. Capacities and Weights The following are the maximum capacities and minimum weights for each type of eligible engine 1. Piston ported engines 125 cc 130 kg 2. Pre 1998 CIK style Reed or Rotary 103 cc 140 kg 3. CIK style, F100 Reed or Rotary 100 cc 103 cc 155 kg 4. 106 to 135 cc reed, rotary or piston port engines 141 cc 150 kg 5. Up to 135 cc derived from KF series engines 135 cc 160 kg 6. Rotax Max DD2 141 cc 175 kg 7. Twin Clubman/Formula Australia (must conform with relevant Technical Specification on AKA Website). Engines can by mixed. 206 cc 160 kg 8. Twin engine (reed, rotary, piston port or modified Clubman/Formula Australia) 210 cc @ 180 kg 9. Twin engine (reed or rotary valve water cooled) 210 cc 190 kg 10. Biland 4 stroke 250 cc 155 kg 11. Intercontinental C and KZ styled engines 128 cc 185 kg 12.
