Support Our New Shrimps (SONS) We are all aware that financially things at the club are tight, they’re no different to the rest of us! But there is a real opportunity for all fans to get involved and help out for the foreseeable future. For the price of a decent pint each month we could do something really insignificant as a fans’ group. If 50% of the regular fans (say, 600 of us) contributed £3 a month, we could raise in the region of £21,500 in a single season. This could positively help fund anything up to three young pros at the club. This might be a little optimistic, but what a great goal (pun intended!) £3 a month produces potentially great returns. There are no limits, any contribution will be most warmly accepted. We’ve secured the support of the Club and have insisted upon and have gained their agreement that anything we contribute will not result in any reduction to the playing budget for the coming seasons Could YOU be the force behind the next Stuart Drummond, Gary Thompson, David Perkins, Danny Carlton, Gary Hunter or indeed any of the many others that have come through our own system?
