Support for #Gaza from the world of sport. English footballer #JoeyBarton has spoken out on Twitter to call for an end to the killing of “innocent children” in Gaza by Israel. The Queens Park Rangers midfielder has more than two million Twitter followers and has been referred to as the “philosopher king” of football. He decried “ethnic cleansing” in Gaza and said had these military strikes been carried out by another nation the West would have intervened by now. Say thanks to him @Joey7Barton
