Supposed Liverpool target Emmanuel Badu has spoken positively about a possible move to Anfield but confirmed that there has been no formal bid made to Udinese just yet. Italian media reported last night that Liverpool were interested in bringing the central midfielder to the Premier League as another midfield reinforcement. The Reds are currently sat fourth in the Premier League table and Brendan Rodgers is apparently looking for central midfielders to help get them over the line and qualify for the Champions League. “I have not heard anything from my agent – at the moment it is all speculation,” he told Goal. “We will have to see what happens in the next two weeks because it has always been my dream to play in England. “We played against Liverpool in the Europa League last year so I know all about them. They are a really good team who have been performing well this season and I would be very happy to join them. “I’m settled in Italy but the chance to play for such a big club is something I couldn’t pass up.” Signed by Udinese as a 19-year-old, Agyemang-Badu has been in and out of the team this season having started only eight Serie A matches. But Rodgers is thought to be a long-term admirer having tried to buy him when he was manager of Swansea City.
