Supposed to get down to 27 degrees tonight so my landlords brother wants to water the weeds out in the field because it will be his last chance. He thought that I might want to move my firewood to a place where it wont get wet, seeing as how it is going to be cold and all. But, I cant lift the firewood - took some ibuprofen and went out and tried but the arm wont work at all - so it gets watered one last time. No big deal - the guy who cut it for me the other day also delivered 1.25 cords of seasoned Fir with some pine and it is pretty dry. But, no kindling. I used to love this lifestyle but am thinking that it might be a little labor intensive at this point. No axe for cutting kindling and besides that my arm wont work. :) Love it! Dry twigs and newspaper! Definitely resourceful if nothing else. Might be taking a couple of days off from the park but am hoping that I will be able to get some other things done - like my calendar and putting some things away. I actually kind of like the idea of cleaning, organizing and nesting some but loathe the idea of not going into the park to see the animals. I have a good life and intend to live it to the fullest for as long as possible. Aches and pains go away sooner or later. In the meantime, might be time to start a fire. Oh, can anyone recommend a really good space heater? I have a large open space that needs auxiliary heat because the wood stove is not efficient and I cant keep it going all night.
