Respondents OFFICE REPORT WRIT PETITION (C) NOs. 80 OF 2013 AND 1010 OF 2013 The Writ Petitions above mentioned were listed before the Honble Court on 21.02.2014 with Office Report dated 18.02.2014, when the Court was pleased to pass the following Order: Perused the letter dated 19.2.2014. In view of the request made by learned counsel for respondent no.2, four weeks time is granted for filing the counter affidavit. Rejoinder, if any, be filed in three weeks time thereafter. Pursuant to the above Order, it is submitted that Counter Affidavit has not been filed on behalf of Respondent No. 2, so far. WRIT PETITION (C) NO. 265 OF 2014 The Writ Petition above-mentioned was listed before the Honble Court on 11.04.2014, when the Honble Court was pleased to pass the following order: Rule nisi. Application for amendment in writ petition is allowed. The parties are at liberty to carry out necessary amendments. The respondents are permitted to file a comprehensive counter affidavit within a period of two month. Report of the Committee be also filed before the Court. List in the end of August, 2014 along with WP(C) No.80/2013 & WP(C) No.1010/2013. It is submitted that pursuant to above Order, Rule Nisi was issued to both Respondents through counsels on 08.05.2014 and this matter has been tagged with W.P. (C) No. 80 of 2013 and W.P. (C) No. 1010 of 2013. It is further submitted that Mr. D. Mohit Ram, Advocate has on 11.04.2014 filed Vakalatnama/Appearance and Counter Affidavit on behalf of Respondent No. 2, i.e. Chief Election Commissioner of India and the same stands included in the Paper Books. It is further submitted that Mr. B.V. Balramdas, Advocate has on 29.05.2014 filed Vakalatnama/Appearance on behalf of Respondent No. 1, i.e. Union of India, Ministry of Law & Justice, Legislative Department but Respondent No. 1 is Ministry of Overseas Indian Affairs. Letter has been sent to the advocate on 10.06.2014 to clarify the Vakalatnama/Appearance filed on behalf of Ministry of Law & Justice in place of Ministry of Overseas Indian Affairs, but he has not clarified so far and also no Counter Affidavit has been filed, so far. It is next submitted that Advocate for the Petitioners has not filed Amendment in Writ Petition, so far. It is lastly submitted that Mr. R.S. Jena, Advocate has on 29.04.2014 filed an Application for Direction and the same has been registered as Interlocutory Application No. 2. The aforesaid application is placed with the Writ Paper Books. The Writ Petitions alongwith Application above-mentioned are listed before the Honble Court with this Office Report for orders. Dated this the 23 r d day of August, 2014.
