Sure Shelly, Lee was having abdominal pain for about 10 days, went to MD, thought maybe peptic ulcers, ordered EGD it was negative. Called MD back set up cat scan, saw something on liver unsure...Did a repeat cat scan with contrast and same day did liver biopsy, radiologist said it looked like cancer but unsure due to no primary cancer elsewhere. Sent to pathology, before results saw Dr. Gore, who requested smears to help determine origin. Results came back origin from bile duct with mets to liver and bone [ 2 areas noted on spine]. Port placed by Dr. Fisher on Thursday, chemo started on following Tuesday 3/18. Without an intervention from our savior we have been told 6 to < 12 months I would just like to say this entire group of people at our hospital are amazing doctors, nurses, pharmacist,techs ...thank you so much we are so blessed to work with such amazing people.
