Sure am pleased that my mama was a nurse at the Enloe Hospital in Chico for near 37 years. Some of her wisdom stuck with me. Last Wednesday while feeling the full effects of a heart attack I calmly got out of my work clothes into some soft clothes and clean nickers, called for a ride to the emergency room by my nephew Wade . then proceeded to vacume the floor, wash my dishes ,laid out my last will and testament ,wrote a special note to the ones I love, smoked my last cigarette , closed up my barn and gates perhaps for the last time. on the way to the hospital while chatting with wade about the symptoms I was feeling I loved his comment SO HOW BOUT THOSE NINERS. Due to construction at the hospital I walked the last block to the emergency room and presented my medical records. within four minutes I was on my way to surgery . a heart felt thanks to rosie ,rootbeer ,debra,and others who came to visit after the procedure in the ICU .was up and about 12 hours later running on twelve cylinders . life is good considering the alternatives. peace. please forgive me my daughters for not including you in the drama at the time, it all worked out and I was in the daddy zone not wanting to worry you and yours.
