Surely I will remember thy wonders of old Psalms 77:11 - I will remember the works of the LORD: surely I will remember thy wonders of old. We may be disheartened due to the problems that surround us or things not going our way. The Lord is telling us not to be saddened and loose hope. He is telling us to remember the things He has done in our life and the things He has done in the lives of people before. Surely every one of us would be having some testimony of how God has changed situations in our lives, bought us out of deep problems. Even if we are not able to remember them the Lord is saying remember those He has done in the lives of others, these He is able to do in or lives. If we still fail then remember the Bible is a complete book. It is like a library by itself that has all things needed for our salvation (only excluding our willingness). We can always refer to the great wonders God has done in the lives of His people as recorded in the Bible. God is telling us our darkness is not dark enough to hold back His light from shining in our lives. You may say brother why is then God not breaking through my darkness? Understand when an egg is broken from the outside life perishes but when it is broken from inside it brings forth life in fullness. For us to break our dark shell we need either have faith or worship or thanksgiving. By exercising our faith we can break forth our shell of darkness, by worshiping God for who He is we can break forth our shell of darkness, and as the Lord is telling us today if we continually thank Him for all that He has done in our lives, we can break the shell of darkness around us. [Prayer Starter] Lord, You are a wonderful God and You are awesome. You have done awesome wonders in the life of your people as recorded in the Bible. The are many among us who can witness the great wonders You have done in our lives. We thank You Lord for your mercy and grace in our lives. We surely know that even today You able do great wonders in our lives. Help us not to lose hope and perish... This prayer we make in Jesus Name, Amen. [Reference Scriptures] Psalms 77:9-14 9 Hath God forgotten to be gracious? hath he in anger shut up his tender mercies? Selah. 10 And I said, This is my infirmity: but I will remember the years of the right hand of the most High. 11 I will remember the works of the LORD: surely I will remember thy wonders of old. 12 I will meditate also of all thy work, and talk of thy doings. 13 Thy way, O God, is in the sanctuary: who is so great a God as our God? 14 Thou art the God that doest wonders: thou hast declared thy strength among the people.
