Surgery is over and Dr Moore said all went very well and that this was absolutely the thing to do because the infected yuck that was inside his chest cavity was almost a jelly like substance that never would have come out thru the chest tube. Hes in recovery now and depending on how long it takes him to wake up and what condition hes I when he does(generally he is hard to wake up and is quite disoriented at first) he may have to go to ICU over night, and would then go back to the room he has been in or hopefully could just go straight back to that room. (Keep your fingers crossed for no ICU.). Thanks to everyone for the prayers, positive thoughts, texts, calls and words of encouragement...unless youve been in a situation like this, you dont know just how important those things are. Once I have more info I will share here.
