Surprise Police Need Toys and Gifts for Families: The Surprise Police Department will be collecting new unwrapped toys for under privileged children this Christmas season. Police are hoping to collect enough toys to serve the many families who suffered unfortunate circumstances this year. Many of the families selected have been victimized by crime. “Participating in this Christmas toy drive gives officers a chance to revisit some of the families they originally met under difficult circumstances. Many of the children selected for the toy drive, have been traumatized or have had their parents financially devastated by crime. It’s extremely rewarding to see their smiles. It’s important that they know that the officers remember them and that they really do care”. Toys will be collected until December 16th.
