Surrender I used to write everyday. I used to have a reason. Not sure why I stopped, it’s like a five year writer’s block. I used to be inspired. Tired of all this tragedy livin’ by the skin of my teeth, fighter’s stance, hypnotic trance I raise the flag, I surrender. The fight is not a battle it’s a mirror of myself I’m staring back at my reflection through everybody else. I built a golden tower and it crumbled beneath my feet. I walked on floating water and drowned eighty feet deep. I don’t have the answers, not much of a plan or a key, I just know it’s been a long time coming since I felt like me, flying free. I wanna melt inside myself raise this fire of the phoenix burn away the useless let loose a holy secret.
