Susan Dicey, LMS at Hillcrest MS (Greenville) was accepted into a National Endowment for the Humanities Landmark seminar, Crafting Freedom, for a week in June 2013. The seminar explored African American slaves and freemen who owned their own craft businesses. The seminar covers exploration of the lives and works of several significant antebellum African Americans such as Elizabeth Keckly and Thomas Day.
