Susans random thought of the day Every now and then Ill see a picture of a successful author sitting at her desk...theres usually a keyboard and a monitor, sometimes a desk lamp, sometimes a phone....every now and then theres a pad of paper. And thats IT! Seriously? I mean, I know every author is different...but its a good thing a clean desk isnt a sign of how to be a successful author. Seriously. I am a MESS! Im completely surrounded by junk...candy, papers, stickies, toys, antibacterial hand gel (Im obsessed), tape, kleenex, envelopes, pens, swag, stamps...and just stuff. I think my desk was clean for about 2.3 seconds after we brought it home and set it up. :) Im embarrassed to even SHOW you what my area looks like...but rest assured Im not lying. :) Each to his/her own, but if you ever DO see my desk...please dont judge! :) (the picture below is NOT my desk, but it looks a lot like this! lol)
