Suspects Arrested While Breaking Into Bait Car Tuscaloosa Police Officers responded to the 2400 Block of Denny St after an alarm went out over the air that one of the departments bait cars was being broken into. The alarm went off at 10:55 am yesterday (3/13/14) morning. When officers arrived on scene they saw two suspects near the vehicle and the vehicles door was ajar. Both suspects were detained and questioned by Criminal Investigators. Criminal Investigators located stolen property (Purse) from another vehicle that was broken into in the 2300 Block of Veterans Memorial Pkwy within the same hour. Both suspects were transported to the Tuscaloosa Police Department for further questioning. Investigators found probable cause to arrest both suspects for 2 Counts of Unlawful Breaking and Entering of Motor Vehicle. Deandre Shonquez Lockett, 19 years old, of Tuscaloosa was charged with 2 Counts of Unlawful Breaking and Entering of a Motor Vehicle. He was placed in the Tuscaloosa County Jail pending a $30,000.00 Bond. Lanetta Ann Toney, 22 years old, of Tuscaloosa was charged with 2 Counts of Unlawful Breaking and Entering of a Motor Vehicle. She was placed in the Tuscaloosa County Jail pending a $30,000.00 Bond.
