Swatchh Bharat Campaign held across the Kathua District. Kathua, OCTOBER 2:- On the launching of Swatchh Bharat Mission to commemorate the Birth Anniversary of Father of Nation Mahatma Gandhi, an extensive cleanliness drive was held across the District here at Kathua today. Officers and officials of different departments at DC Office complex, Mini Sectt. and other parts of the kathua town were found giving their participation in the cleanliness campaign. The employees were found doing cleaning in their respective offices and area in the vicinity. Similarly functions and cleanliness campaign were held in various schools, colleges and other educational institutions of Kathua town as well as other tehsils viz Basohli, Billawar, Bani, Hiranagar, Marheen, Dinga amb etc. A massive cleanliness drive also held in the main bazars of the Kathua town where officer and staff of Municipality, prominent citizens, members of Beopar Mandal were seen actively participating in the campaign. CRPF, Army and Police authorities have also organised cleanliness drive in their respective offices and camp areas where a mass participation was witnessed during the day long campaign. An impressive programme was also organised by Nehru Yuva Kendra at dream land park where cleanliness pleage was administered by DDC Dr Shahid Iqbal Chaudhary to the participants including officers of different departments besides prominent citizens of the town. Under the campaign NIC Kathua also organised similar drive in their office at Mini sectt complex where officers and staff underwent a complete cleaning campaign. At Basohli similar campaign were held at Sub District Hospital and at main town areas where government officers and officials, youth and people from all walks of life actively participated in the Swatchh Bharat Mission.
