Sweet, lovable Frannie was picked up on Monday of last week as a stray. I, along with my Sister, took her to Rocky Creek Veterinary Hospital & Pet Resort because of her obvious skin condition. There, we learned that she had a microchip and the Owners were contacted - in person. They denied losing their Beagle Mix (total lie) and never went by Rocky Creek to claim her. Since Monday, it has been determined that this poor, lonely, little 5 year-old does not have mange, but a serious skin infection that is being treated with antibiotics. She was also administered all of the annual vaccines that she, more than likely, never received, along with receiving a long over-due bath! Also, during her stay at Rocky Creek, we have learned that Frannie has been spayed, she is heartworm negative, parasite negative, and that she loves all people and other pets. And, she is very outgoing, but becoming increasing unhappy being in boarding. Sadly, I cannot bring Frannie to my home because of my cats. So, I am pleading for someone to offer her a temporary home until a new Mom / Dad are found. Ideally though, her new Mom / Dad are reading this now. Know that Frannies medical expenses have been paid by a Good Samaritan and that the only costs associated with Frannie is a few nights of boarding. Also, realize that Rocky Creek Veterinary Hospital, which is located at 111 Ebenezer Rd in Greer (basically at the corner of Hwy. 14 & Batesville Rd. near Bubba Annies) will close at noon today (Saturday) So, this is a SOS to everyone to please share this post quickly in hopes that Frannie does not have to spend the weekend there all alone. Molly at Rocky Creek is coordinating Frannies adoption. So, please ask for her. If she is not there or is busy, do call me (Debbie) at 360-9696. Im just moments away from the Vets office. Thank You!
