Switzerland - Credit Suisse has pleaded guilty to criminal tax evasion charge, the first time a bank has done so in the US in more than a decade. It will now pay a fine of $2.5bn (£1.5bn). CEO Brady Dougan said: We deeply regret the past misconduct that led to this settlement. The US cross-border matter represented the most significant and longstanding regulatory and litigation issue for Credit Suisse. Having this matter fully resolved is an important step forward for us.
