Syria has wide open borders where rebels from all over the middle east come and go as they please. Most Gulf state governments support the Rebels and most Gulf State oil dictatorships are ruthless against their own people. At least half the rebel forces are Al Qaeda or affiliated with Al Qaeda (which originated in Saudi Arabia)……The rebels want the US to intervene. The Syrian government does not want the US to intervene. The Syrian Government is winning on the ground against the rebels. The rebels know if the Syrian government uses gas against the rebels the US will intervene on their behalf. So who has the most to gain and to lose if gas is used? Do you think for one moment Al Qaeda would not use gas against their own civilians? Al Qaeda? If you believe that then I have a couple of towers in lower Manhattan I want to sell you. Oh yeah, Al Qaeda blew them up.
