Syria is about to experience another horrific chapter of their civil war. Slowly but surely the quagmire situation in syria is going to get an international deadlock. As obvious, the UN should come into play in this standstill. But the actual scenario will give you a different view. According UN charter: Article 1 (2) To develop friendly relations among nations based on respect for the principle of equal rights and self-determination of peoples, and to take other appropriate measures to strengthen universal peace; And Article 2(2) All Members, in order to ensure to all of them the rights and benefits resulting from membership, shall fulfill in good faith the obligations assumed by them in accordance with the present Charter. Investigation report from UN officials about using chemical weapon upon civilians is still to be published. It is still a big controversy which group in syria used this weapon against innocuous citizens. But Barak Obama has decided to launch a limited military action against syrian govt. He said " I am comfortable to launch a military action ". What this sentence signifies? It interprets, to me, to the uncivilized mentality of US neither UN nor Humanity is a issue. Remember US was not much vocal about military action in egypt, the genocide that was carried out by military. Now, America has no transparent stance about Afganistan, and Iraq. These all are just throwing dust to peoples eye in order to serve their own purposes.
