Syrian Refugee Blanket Appeal Salaamu alaykum. Most people reading this post have been blessed to have a warm home to go to this winter and thats something we take for granted. As winter approaches the families who have become refugees on the Turkish border due to the conflicts in Syria do not have this luxury and winter is the worst time for them. Last year saw the death of many of our brothers and sisters a large portion of them children due to the intense cold. I want to help do something to ease that situation this year in sha Allah. I am partnering with a few aid groups positioned within these refugee camps to provide families with thermal blankets that will in sha Allah help families stay warm this winter. These thermal blankets cost approx 15-20$ each and I want to help donate 1000 of them to our brothers and sisters a total cost of 15-20k dollars. When we reach the goal they will be purchased and shipped to the organizations to be distributed to the most needy. I am beginning this project with 500$ from myself and my family.
