Syrian opposition must emphasize to the international community: -that we have a strategy and vision agreed upon by the entire spectrum of opposition forces. -we must emphasize our desire to protect minorities. -we must emphasize the areas where we are united and how far we have come in consolidating the opposition and addressing western concerns about representativeness. -emphasize that we do have a strategy but that we need international support. -acknowledge that we have a problem with extremists but that they do not represent the Syrian people or the opposition and that like the West we want to combat extremism. -we want democracy. -we are NOT another Iraq situation -show them there is much good going on in Syria including local councils, local governance, and the Interim Government which could do such great work if provided enough support.
