Syrian rebel forces have admitted to receiving overseas munitions that were then used, Russia’s Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov said. The Russian foreign chief underscored that Moscow had more than once implicated insurgents in chemical attacks on the Syrian soil, stressing they might have been falsified. “There is other evidence coming from nuns from a Christian monastery nearby, from journalists that visited this area and spoke to militants, who told them they had been provided with certain foreign missiles they had never seen before and didn’t know how to use – but then used nonetheless,” Mr. Lavrov told Russia’s Channel One.
