TAC 07th Sept’2014 Changlang School students watch live telecast of PM Teachers’ Day speech Changlang, September 6: The District Administration of Changlang facilitated students of various schools of Changlang witnessing the live telecast of the Prime Minister of India, Narendra Modi’s programme collectively in which he addressed Teachers and Students of the nation, at multipurpose Community Hall , Changlang, yesterday. The Changlang South MLA, Tesam Pongte, Changlang DC Chanchal Yadav, SP Vijay Kumar, ADC Isha khosla along with other heads of offices were also among hundreds of students who watched the programme thoroughly. Similar facilities were also arranged by the District Administration for far flung areas through BRCC/CRCC and Admin Officers enabling them to watch the programme. Yet in another programme, the teachers of Changlang District celebrated Teachers’ Day in a befitting manner here at DIET Auditorium, Yesterday. Changlang North MLA Mr Tesam Pongte and Deputy Commissioner Ms Chanchal Yadav, IAS attended the programme as Chief Guest and Guest of Honour respectively. The programme was also attended by SP, Changlang Mr Vijay Kumar, IPS, ADC Ms Isha Khosla, IAS and other heads of the Offices Changlang. Mr Pongte expressed his greetings to all the teachers of the district and applauded for their untiring and dedicated service they have been rendering in molding and nurturing future of the children. Asserting that the future of children of Changlang is in the hand of teachers he stressed them to perform the noble service towards nation with utmost sincerity instead of doing it for the sake of job. Superintendent of Police, Changlang Mr Kumar termed teaching as the most beautiful and honorable job and asked the teachers to be role model of their students. He also appealed the students to learn good things from their teachers and try to earn name and fame for their teachers and parents. Terming discipline as an important feature for a good student he requested teachers and parents to play a bigger role and asked the parents to be more responsible for the future of their children. Earlier, Principal VKV Shri Dhan Bo and teacher L Taiju, also spoke on the importance of the day and works of Dr S Radha Krishnan.
