TAKE UP THIS WORDS And it shall come to pass in the day that the LORD shall give thee rest from thy sorrow, and from thy fear, and from the hard bondage wherein thou wast made to serve, That thou shalt take up this proverb against the king of Babylon, and say, How hath the oppressor ceased! the golden city ceased!. Isaiah 14:3-4 Babylon has been the chief city that persecutes the Jews; the Israelites were in sorrow, fear and hard bondage wherein the Babylonians had made them serve. God promised to give the Jews rest from the bondage of the Babylonians and in order to fulfil that promise; He required the confessions of the Jews. The Jews were to confess even though as at then, they were still under the bondage of the Babylonians when the Lord asked them to be making this confession, they were to keep saying and keep repeating this words like a proverb ‘how hath the oppressor ceased! The golden city ceased!’ Yes, for God to fulfil His promise of deliverance over poverty, singlehood, childlessness, troublesome home, delinquent children, abusive spouse, sicknesses and diseases, hardship in life etc. He will require our faith filled confession. God wants us to keep confessing that word of His that counters that problem in our life, He wants us to keep saying ‘how hath the oppressor ceased! The hardship, singlehood, poverty, sicknesses, pains etc. as your case might be ceased! Keep saying these over your life and not before long that oppressor will cease in your life, yes, that problem will disappear. Remember with the mouth confession is made unto salvation. Keep confessing this, keep saying this, and never stop confessing the word of God over that circumstance. If the devil can’t stop your confession, he won’t be able to hinder or delay your possessions. When all is in the altar, God will not keep you waiting for the fire.
