TAKING RESPONSIBILITY.... God showed me something as I meditated this morning on His word and listened to my heart about myself and others on responsibility... Adam & Eve did everything they could to avoid taking responsibility of their sin. Adam blamed his wife she gave the fruit and even pointed his finger at God, saying this is the woman You gave me... Eve blamed the serpent saying he deceived me and I ate... God ignored their excuses and said they would face consequences for their disobedience. This spoke to my heart because one thing I know is we can refuse to take responsibility for our actions. We want to blame others for our problems: My parents didnt raise me right ... My friends let me down... My pastor didnt care for me enough... My employer is crazy... My children are rebellious ... My spouse doesnt understand me... Theres not enough time in the day... The EXCUSES are MANY, and FORGIVENESS & RESTORATION canNOT happen until we except FULL responsibility of our actions. The most important part of this is.... If we make a habit of blaming others for our failures, we will NOT reach a point of HONEST REPENTANCE... God will hold US accountable for our OWN actions, not others. Lets ALL, Strive always to acknowledge and take responsibility for our own sins. I believe it will FREE us to receive Gods forgiveness and to press on to spiritual maturity... #keepusinthepalmofurhand#
