TALES...FROM THE HIGHWAY! This trip could be a book but Ill stick to the easy stuff! Got to see some of the Atlanta snowstorm aftermath on our way to Louisiana last Thursday night. Car still in the ditch, snow everywhere and icy roads...one can only imagine what the mess was like! We played at Paragon Casino and Resorts in Marksville, LA and had a great time! The band played superbly, especially last night to a standing room only crowd! They were lined up out the door to get in! The fun started after we left...thats right! What is worse than driving in ice and snow? Raise your hand if you know...who said fog? That is right! So...I hate to report this but, not one but TWO dogs came out of the fog right under the wheels, front and back. I could not stop. Sadly tonight, they are road jerky..poor little things! I like animals and hate that happened. Finally...do not, I repeat DO NOT take your or any vehicle on I-20 between the Mississippi state line and Tuscaloosa, AL. Long story short, thanks to those piece of crap roads, we are now forced to repair some damage to our suspension caused by their pathetic interstate system. Im half tempted to send the state of Alabama the repair bill once we get if fixed. Ive seen better dirt roads! So, stay away from that area! Sitting along the highway for 4 hours waiting on a repair person was not our idea of fun! Oh yeah, one good thing. Someone tweeted that they saw us driving tonight on I-459 bypass off of I-20. Isnt social media just great? Gotta love it!
