I met Timberland when she first came in and she was stressed and not interested in making contact with me. Sadly she hasnt changed. Shes still the beautiful girl she was when she first joined us, her coat still immaculate, her weight still perfect, but she trembles and cries with stress. Her tail wags gently from time to time as she looks out of the pen at the street perhaps wondering if her family is out there.... Shes not interested in treats, but her ears perk up at a squeaky toy, but not enough to interest her to play. I considered it a major victory when she jumped up on the bench beside me, giving me a quick little kiss...perhaps acknowledging that she knew I was a friend.... None of us know the real Timberland as she hasnt opened up enough to let us in. Shell need a family or person who will spend easy time with her, allowing her to open up at her own pace. Shes a beautiful girl, with what I think is a beautiful heart and soul inside that tense exterior. She needs someone to unlock her, and she the beauty within.
