TBT 9/25/2009 - The one day in my life I will never forget, the day of my motorcycle accident. I had a two hour run this afternoon to reflect on that day and my life since. Far too much time to be inside my own head! However with Ironman AZ less than two months away, that seems to happen a lot lately. So with no one in particular to share with or talk to today, I am writing to my 456 closest friends..... I know today should be a day of happiness, celebration and inspiration. I have so many things in my life that should make me happy to be alive, including sitting here to write this. Yet the last several years have thrown so many curve balls and unexpected challenges it all becomes very gray. I look forward to the year that I can sit, write this and truly have no doubts why I survived that day. Unfortunately this is not that year and today is not that day. Until then, I will continue to laugh, smile and be inspired virtually everyday by something my friends post on FB. I know it seems strange and some people dont truly understand. However this form of social media, at least for me, is a very positive force. Especially on a day like today.
