TBT....Continuing with Mikes short Midget career (no pun intended). Of all the cars Mike built, I believe this one is the most beautiful…..his one and only Midget. The car was built for Bud and Mary Jackson with Lloyd Nygren as the driver. Unfortunately Lloyd died shortly before the car was finished. Mike drove it the first race but I can’t remember who drove it the rest of the year. The following year BCRA made cages mandatory but the Jackson’s were very opposed to cages and with Lloyd gone they decided to sell the car. Mike put the cage on and the car was sold to Gary Lynch in Washington. Gary had great success with the car and his sponsor Justice Brothers used the car on all of their calendars. Car was eventually sold, but was never heard from again. Photo credit goes to Larry Wood.
