#TBT Since seemingly all of Chicago and the surrounding region is up in arms over AVBs cancelled United Center event, I figured it would be appropriate to throw things back with this right here. The year is 2004, and Id just started playing out at a few very small and non-influential places here in CHI. I was spending so much money on records, and then barely having enough to pay rent and eat, but I didnt care. Then, I put together this mix, self-promoted the hell out of myself, and this began to turn the tide in the direction that I wanted to go. This is my first legitimate promo that was widely distributed, and while I dont bang the 138bpm trance these days, you can definitely see where my affinity for melody in my dance music stemmed from.
