#TBT #ThrowbackThursday I will always credit J-Fest 2013 as the event that brought me back to the ACG scene. During a time when I was directionless after leaving the musical theater scene and needing a platform to perform and showcase my love and passion for Japanese songs, it was a sense of curiosity that led me to signing up for the events singing competition and while I wound up taking Second Place (right behind Leena from Harmonia ACG, who put on an excellent performance of her own), what I got out of it was the amount of fun I had out there. For the first time in what I felt was a very long time, I actually enjoyed myself on stage. I dont know how to describe it, but it was absolute heaven to be up on stage singing Japanese songs, something I hadnt done in quite a long while up till that point. Most importantly, in front of an audience and new friends made who are like-minded as I am when it comes to enjoying and performing Japanese songs on stage, I felt genuinely accepted. It was just beautiful. Since then, I have been performing quite often at ACG events and no more was it evident than my activities last year where I performed at events such as Animangaki and Comic Fiesta. After making a comeback in 2013 and being very active in 2014, its time to continue making a mark of my own in 2015.
