TE Jordan Reed ruled out vs. 49ers Robert Griffin III will be without one of his favorite targets when he faces the vaunted 49ers defense on Monday night. Rookie tight end Jordan Reed has been ruled out due to the concussion he suffered in last Sundays game against the Eagles. He left the 24-16 loss after catching one pass for 12 yards. Reed has appeared in nine games this year after the Redskins took him in the third round of the NFL Draft out of the University of Florida. Hes been a pleasant surprise in his first pro season, ranking second on the team in both receptions (45) and receiving yards (499). His three touchdown receptions are tied for the most of any Redskins receiver. Reed not playing could open the door for six-year veteran Fred Davis. The former second round pick has appeared in just four games this season and has three receptions. He has not been active for a game since Week 8. Adam Schefter of ESPN first reported the news.
