TEACH US TO PRAY (1) Jesus says a place to start is to know Him to whom you pray. Father... God is an approachable Father. The relationship of love and caring that exists between Jesus and his Father is the same intimate relationship into which we are invited to enter. Hallowed be thy Name, thy kingdom come.... He is also a supreme king whose name is holy and who is worthy of and, requires our obeisance. While he is always more ready to hear than we to pray. He is also ruler of a kingdom in which we are only subjects by His grace and for which we are committed to work. Our praying is best, Jesus says, when at the start we can both gratefully acknowledge God as our father and humbly kneel before God our ruler and king.
