#TEAMRA370 The think tank Institute for Economics and Peace (IEP) in its just released report #GlobalTerrorismIndex2014 says terrorism in India has increased by 70 per cent from 2012 to 2013. In the report, one thing which clearly stands out is that Jihadist brand of terror is on the wane in India but is rising in Af-Pak. Listen to Af-Pak expert and senior fellow at the Vivekananda International Foundation, Sushant Sareen. He says the problem with such report is that they are based on lagging indicators. Secondly, they dont take into account the dynamic nature of violence which afflicts the countries mentioned in the report, and thirdly the finer nuances of terror tend to get lost when one bases conclusions on a broad statistical index.
