TEAM_5: ALGERIA Head Coach: Vahid Halihodzic Captain: Madjid Bougherra The Algeria national football team nicknamed The Fennec Foxes, has qualified for four World Cups in 1982, 1986, 2010 and 2014. Algeria has also won the African Cup of Nation once in 1990, when they hosted the tournament. After winning group H (second round) of the African FIFA World Cup 2014 qualifying matches, they went on to the third round of qualification, where they faced Burkina Faso in a two legged matches. With aggregate (3-3) score, Algeria qualified with the away goal rule, after scoring two goals away from home in the 3-2 loss before winning 1-0 at home. They will compete in Group H with Belgium, Russia and South Korea. The Algeria national team home kit is an all white with green trim, the away kit is all green with white trim. Their kit is currently provided by PUMA AG since 2010. Their honours include; African Cup of Nations Winners in 1990 and reaching the last eight of the 1980 Olympics. VERDICT: For Algeria to qualify from that group, they will need a miracle considering their previous poor peformances. And if that miracle does happen, it will be an achievement for them.
