TENSION IN KSM CAMP OVER GOV INDICTMENT Report indicated that KSM has been making frantic calls over the indicting report. The report is said to have reached the Presidency. Pls read the original story from KANURI NEWS GOV SHETIMMA PLACED ON TERROR WATCH LIST Borno governor,Kashim Shetimma breaks a sinister record in Nigeria by been the first sitting governor to be classified a terror threat and placed on terror watch list by security agencies, highly placed classified report has disclosed. Kanuri News learnt that the secret report emanated from the United States African High Command, the Sahel region defence council and the ECOWAS security commmission. The report indicted the governor for secretly supporting terrorist right from his days as commissioner and since he assumed office as governor of the state almost four years ago. The governor was linked to the Boko Haram sect due to many pieces of evidence, the last been the involvement of his top aides especially the chairman of Maiduguri metropolitan council. Several information gathered during investigation of the Australian alleged negotiator also left finger prints of the governor. The latest evidence cited were documents recovered from insurgents who were ambushed by military personnel along Daboa Maiduguri road. The documents directly linked the governor to the sect. A security source described the report as very serious and a final nail in the coffin of the governor. According to him,the report has reached us and I think military and security agencies are alarmed that a sitting governor could be funding terrorists and inciting the people againist security operatives. A Chadian citizen was recently arrested in Diffa ,Niger with bomb making materials and documents linking the governor to a trans border import and export of terrorists and arms. Gov. Shettima Admits Relationship with Arrested Aide Governor Shetimma has admitted his link to his aide and field man with Boko Harama,Alahji Junaid Khadi. He however said he inherited the man from the predecessor in office. In a funny and ridiculous twist, Governor known to be very close to the arrested aide blamed the governors predecessor, Ali Modu Sheriff, for appointing the aide. While it is not the tradition of Governor Kashim Shettima of Borno State to join issues with security agencies as he holds each of them in high esteem, we are concerned about an insinuation concerning the status of Khadi who was presented as an aide to Governor Kashim Shettima. We dont want to question the integrity of the security agency involved and hence cannot outrightly allege political motive to bring Governor Shettima’s image to disrepute, a statement released by the governors office said today. The governor could not however explained why he refused to sack Khadi almost four years after he took over. He is also silent on the known facts that Khadi has since fallen out with former Governor Ali Modu Sheriff as far back as three years ago. Reports indicated that the Government House Maiduguri has been holding crisis meeting over the development since Tuesday night. An insider told our contact that the Governor warned his aides not to attack the State Security Service but to lay the blame on Senator Sheriff. A top adviser of the governor was quoted as having told the meeting that blaming the former governor will not be an acceptable defence for retaining Kahdi as an aide for so long. The adviser was said to have preferred a blackmail of the SSS but others warned that the SSS may be forced to release more details which may further implicate Governor Shetimma.
