TEVIS!! - The awesome and challenging Tevis 100-mile ride is on! Let us know if you have a friend riding so we can keep you up-to-date. A total of 186 riders, including 7 juniors, left this morning. Among the first to make it to the bottom of the initial descent to the Hwy 89 crossing were Jennifer Waitte and Heather Reynolds, and the Blakeley family who are riding together with Junior rider Barrak Blakeley. He earned his first Tevis buckle in 2011 at age 12 (the minimum age allowed for junior riders) but pulled last year. Stay tuned for more info. as they come through the first big vet check at Robinson Flat, which is 36 miles into the ride. Heres the official trail profile. Peak elevation is 8700 feet at Emigrant Pass.
